Earth Alley, a new craft boutique in Hampden, features "green" and fair-trade personal and home accessories from here and around the world. We offer a variety of gifts crafted from recycled products such as stylish hand bags, wallets, and messenger bags made from recycled truck or bicycle inner tubes. You will also find colorful jewelry made from silk kimonos or from discarded porcelain.

Earth Alley's supports fair-trade organizations from all corners of the globe. One-of-a-kind handicrafts include silks and linens from Vietnam, sculptural metal work from Haiti, and hand made, all-natural children's toys from Kenya and Zambia.

Earth Alley began with the idea that we can be responsible in our shopping decisions and still afford to bring stylish, quality items into our homes. We believe that the impact of our decisions as consumers should be taken into account when we decide where to do business.

Sustainable Values

Although new to Baltimore, we are making an effort to support local artisans as often as possible. We currently feature local jewelers, toy makers, and natural beauty product makers. And we are always looking for more!

It is our hope that over time we can help to weave the sustainable community fabric that the Chesapeake Sustainable Business Alliance has begun. We welcome all members to stop in and say hello next time they are on "the 'Ave" in Hampden. We are currently open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with expanded fall hours to come.

Special Discounts

We are just starting and would like to offer members a 10% discount purchases over $75.00 (some exceptions may apply like sale and seasonal items).

Sustainable Values

Jenn believes in using sustainable practices. As a previous owner of both a small health food store and a home accessories retail shop, she fully understands the importance of “Buy Local” and community support. Recycling, cutting back on energy use and finding more sustainable ways to live are all a part of daily operations.
